Help maintain the yachts that made America’s Cup history.

The l2mYDF was established in late 2006 in Greenwich, Connecticut as a 501c3 tax-exempt charitable trust and “living museum” to acquire, restore and preserve historic America’s Cup l2 metre class yachts and their racing heritage.

The Foundation’s goal is to foster appreciation of the rich maritime history behind the 12 metre class by providing the “hands-on” thrill of sailing and match racing aboard actual 12 metre America’s Cup yachts. The Foundation’s philosophy is to maintain these proud yachts as working boats in order to make them available for use to the widest variety of individuals and groups possible , including sailing enthusiasts, schools, youth and junior sailing programs, yacht clubs, corporate patrons,and cause related events.
