Companies are encouraged to support the I2m Yacht Development Foundation [l2mYDF] and may do so through a range of tax exempt patron and benefactor opportunities, including:
- Supporting education and cause-marketing programs.
- Championing enabled charitable giving campaigns.
- Assisting in the acquisition, restoration and preservation of America’s Cup Class 12m yachts.
In collaboration with I2mYDF’s network of patron supporters and benefactors, companies and individuals are afforded opportunities to host/participate in special events and/or promotions, and will receive recognition for their efforts through the Foundation’s communications, social media, and website resources, which liaise with more than 66 Yacht Clubs in the Metro New York, Long Island Sound, and Newport, as well as the International l2 Metre Association. The Foundation’s direct involvement with individuals and groups that support the America’s Cup reaches some of the highest levels of charitable, patronage, philanthropy and cause-related marketing worldwide.
The following is a brief description of suggested cause – related marketing levels for our corporate patrons and benefactors.
- Principal Benefactor/Sponsor: $1 million minimum annual contribution; 3-year commitment preferred.
- Partner/Sponsor: $500,000 minimum annual contribution; 3-year commitment preferred.
- Patron/Sponsor: $250,000 minimum annual contribution; term negotiable.
- Corporate Donor: $100,000 minimum annual contribution; term negotiable.
Companies and/or agencies willing to donate appropriate in-kind advertising space and/or pro-bono creative services, valued at $50,000 or more, to help promote the I2mYDF’s cause related mission nationally.
Companies providing substantial discount pricing to assist the external reach of the I2mYDF and its interest which include 66+ affiliate yacht clubs, sailing associations, and memberships in and around Greater Metropolitan New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
The I2mYDF has its own line of I2mYDF signature products. The product line is available for cause – related licensed use and purchase in support of all of our patron and member needs.
A company with a desire to demonstrate social responsibility, increase employee loyalty and retention, engage volunteerism, and support the mission of the I2mYDF. Company names the I2mYDF as a charity of choice and communicates such support internally among its employees and shareholders. Funds are donated to the I2mYDF through corporate giving or a corporate foundation donation and/or via an employee giving campaign. No external consumer activation rights are included.
Organizations that are willing to donate to the I2mYDF mission-critical products, services, or supplies, but that are not interested in entering into a strategic alliance agreement or making any minimum guarantees. Marketing rights, benefits, and use of marks are not available.
